My 7 Most Unusual Memory Quilt Requests

Most everyone knows t-shirts can be used in a memory quilt, but I’ve been asked (and found a way, somehow) to include some sentimental, yet pretty unusual, items in memory quilts over the past 7 years, including

• Margate, NJ’s architectural landmark “Lucy the Elephant

• A career’s worth of nursing scrubs, tops and bottoms

• A 3-year old ballerina’s tiny pink tutu

• A brown silk bridesmaid dress

• Fabric swatches gathered during a missionary trip to the Congo

• A bib worn at baby’s first Christmas

• The handprints of two brothers made shortly before the younger boy passed away
