Custom Quilts 101: Keeping Your Dorm Warm

Of course, a custom quilt makes a great graduation gift (I know, because my grandmother gave me one 20 years ago this month when I graduated!) The right quilt, though, can also help smooth a new graduate’s transition from home life to campus life.

Attending a game with a custom-made stadium blanket in team colors shows you have lots of school spirit, while a themed quilt using a sorority symbol, like the ΔΔΔ dolphin or the ΚΚΓ fleur de lis, is a terrific “thank you” for Big Sister after initiation. And don’t worry about getting along with that new dorm mate – if you’ve already coordinated having matching Whimzie quilts made for your room, you know you’ll be able to live in harmony! (An added bonus is that custom bedding can be specially sized for x-long twin dorm mattresses.)

  1. “Financial Aid” Benefits Heart Disease Research
Because of caring Whimzie Quiltz customers like you, we are already $340 towards our goal of donating $500 to heart disease research in 2008.

Remember, my husband and I are contributing $10 for every free quilt design requested and $50 for every Whimzie Quilt ordered, as long as the design or the quilt includes RED fabrics. All donations benefit the American Heart Association.
